The Aquapark in Costa Adeje has
something for all of the family. There is a free bus available at several meeting points around Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos, for more information about this, there are leaflets with bus times available in most Travel Agents or
Reception areas.
There are slides for all ages, pool areas, sunbeds, shops, restaurants, lockers and much more... Definitely worth a visit !

How about a trip to Mount
Teide ? There are planned
excursions available or why
don't you hire a car and take
a trip yourself ?


Once you reach the base of
the mountain, you can take a
cable car ride right to the very
top - 3,000 metres ! The views
are truly breathtaking !

Maybe you fancy something a
little bit different, why not take
a ride on a camel ? There are
different lengths of journey
available, and each one
gives you a free drink
after the long camel ride. Or if
you don't fancy getting on a camel there is a little bar that sells drinks where you can sit and watch everyone else !

For all the nature lovers, the Exotic Park
has a huge array of animals,cacti,
butterflies..... the list goes on and on. A
free bus service is available from many
points around Playa de las Americas and
Los Cristianos.

Alternatively, for those who enjoy golf, why not try Los Palos, just outside Guaza. This is mainly a driving range, if you prefer a round of golf, then try Compostela Golf in Playa de las Americas, just in front of Las Floritas.

Or for the very adventurous
why not try snorkelling!
Many of the beaches around
Playa de las Americas & Los
Cristianos offer diving &
scuba equipment hire and
lessons. Go on give it a
try ! He did !!!

If you fancy a drive out of Playa de las Americas, then why not visit the sleepy village of Alcála near Playa San Juan. During July and August there are Saint's days where you'll find plenty of live music and carnival stalls. The picture is of the church at Alcála during the Saints Day in August.

If you enjoy just lying on a
beach, then take a trip up
to Puerto Santiago
Although the beach is not
white or golden sand, it is
actually jet black! But watch
out here, if you go in the
sea, there are severe under currents at certain times of the year.

How about a cultural trip to a banana
plantation? Bananas are a great source
of revenue in the Canaries.
You will find many plantations allow
visitors, however there is a great one
in PUERTO DE LA CRUZ called Jardin
Botanico. Why not have a visit if
you're in the North of the island?

Or why not visit the lovely islands
of El Hierro and / or La Gomera.
There are now coach trips to La
Gomera. Why not visit for a taste
of something different?

This is a view from the far North
of Tenerife. Here there are
beautiful scenes of mountains and
hills. Visit and stop at a truly local #
Canarian bar (non-alcoholic
drinks for the driver!!!)

If you do visit the North of
Tenerife, and you like fish,
then we urge you to visit a
place called Bodegas de las
Roques, and have
some local fish. This fish is
called "ABADEJO." It is a
very white, 'meaty' fish with not many small bones to find!
